Unidentified photographer 1916 (ca) Capt. Prothero - Training at the Turnberry airfield in Scotland
Photograph, on album page Private collection of Sheila Yeoman (Sheila Yeoman, 1 August 2020) From my grandmother's album of her first fiance, a Royal Flying Corps pilot (killed in 1917), containing many flight photos taken during training at the Turnberry airfield in Scotland, c.1916. This one is on a page where all the other photos are clearly taken from a second airplane, so I presume this one is, too. I believe Capt. Prothero was later killed in action.
