Photograph of the city of Ávila, Spain. A low stone wall runs diagonally through the foreground with the Adaja river in the middle ground. A main feature of the photograph is the crenellated medieval city wall punctuated by round towers. Outside the walls, on the left, stands the hermitage of San Segundo. In the background is the Cathedral tower, standing on the horizon on the left.
