Photograph of a woman from the Songish First Nations standing in full length and facing the viewer. She carries a wicker basket on her back containing fish and holds a conical shaped hat in her right hand. Her left hand rests on a bundle that she holds around her neck.
 
The Songish people belong to the Indigenous Coast Salish people of North America and lived on the south eastern region of Vancouver Island.
