"Feuardent" written in pencil on mount. Feuardent was a bookseller and antiquarian from Cherbourg best known for his daguerreotype of his close friend Jean-Francois Millet and his family taken in 1854 as well as for his marine views of Toulon and Cherbourg now in the Musee d'Orsay.
