Sidney Monies 1920, Autumn Cisterns of Tawila, Yemen
Photograph Private collection of Sheila Yeoman (Sheila Yoeman, 5 September 2020) I also have photos of the Cisterns of Tawila, near Aden, from an album of my grandfather Sidney Monies. He was returning to India from England with a new bride (my grandmother), in the autumn of 1920. I'm guessing he did the photo processing himself because the quality of the printing is very uneven throughout the album.
