The luxurious apartment belonging to Condé Nast served as a set for this Edward Steichen photograph. Model Lee Miller is dressed perfectly for evening in a Twenties-style rayon and velvet gown, gathered at the dropped waist. It's accented with a shirred-sleeve jacket that features a fox-trimmed collar. The Jay-Thorpe design is accessorized with diamonds, most notably a diamond necklace with an emerald by Marcus.
