According to the caption that accompanies it, this photograph was taken to record the day when 'Mosqueen Indians' were invited by late Governor Frederick Seymour (1820-69) to New Westminster to celebrate Queen Victoria's birthday on the 24 May 1866. Seymour was the second Governor of British Columbia from 1864 to 1866.
