Summer House, Mandalay Fort where King Theebaw surrendered

Photograph
Private collection of Sheila Yeoman
(Sheila Yeoman, 11 August 2020} These prints are in an album compiled by my great-grandfather, Alfred Monies, late 1890s. He was an engineer in India, etc. It's possible he took some of the photos, but they mostly appear to be commercial, souvenir images.

"Thibaw Min, also Thebaw or Theebaw (Burmese: ??????????, pronounced [?ìb?´ m?´?~]; 1 January 1859 - 19 December 1916) was the last king of the Konbaung Dynasty of Burma (Myanmar) and also the last Burmese sovereign in the country's history. His reign ended when Burma was defeated by the forces of the British Empire in the Third Anglo-Burmese War, on 29 November 1885, prior to its official annexation on 1 January 1886." (Wiki)
