The back of this Daguerreotype has a hand written label that states that the view was taken in September 1851. A similar label is on the verso of a Gros Daguerreotype of the interior of the Crystal Palace. Both Daguerreotypes are in the BNF in Paris and were part of the Georges Sirot [collection] and donated in 1955.
