Norman Parkinson
1958, September (published)
Coming, St Martins Lane

Gelatin silver print
Private collection of Terence Pepper
(Terence Pepper, 3 February 2020) Nena Von Schlebrugge born January 8 1941 photographed by Norman Parkinson at Brydges Place off St Martin's Lane in London, published in British Vogue September 1958. The caption reads as follows: “Narrow shoulders, a stiff swing out to the hem for a street dress made in grey and black striped wool. It would fit nicely under the trapeze coat on the opposite page, suits the same accessories too: squashy red hat, white gloves, black shoes… Dress by Blanes, hat by Panda Hats in red suedette, shoes in black calf, bag a black pochette from Solrae”
