Photograph Internet - Original source ill-defined (Alan Griffiths, 25 July 2020) This photograph is widely disseminated on the Internet but not sourced. The photograph is problematic as seen at the surface level it is children playing but at a deeper level it evokes white supremacy and control over other races. Some people will continue to excuse it by only seeing, or wishing to see, the image at a superficial level of childish innocence. Others will view it as the embodiment of racist control. Unfortunately we do not have the insights of the photographer and as such it remains a deeply political photograph.
