The five men pose in front of their tent at the South Pole. From left to right: Edward Wilson (1872-1912), Robert Falcon Scott (1868-1912), Edgar Evans (1876-1912), Lawrence Oates (1880-1912) and Henry Bowers 1883-1912), The Union Jack is just visible in the left distance. Wilson is holding a string which operated the camera. The negatives for these images taken at the South Pole were found in the tent with the bodies of Scott, Wilson and Bowers.
