Mather & Lyon 1872 (ca) Syracuse and Chenango Valley Railroad Tunnel [Views of Cazenovia & Vicinity.]
Stereoview, front and back Private collection of Dave Porter (Dave Porter, January 2022) This view was taken during the construction of the Syracuse and Chenango Valley Railroad Tunnel around 1872. This railroad line later became part of the New York Central Railroad system. The tunnel was abandoned in the 1940's but still exists as it passes under route 92 on the west side of Cazenovia Lake.
