Copperplate engraving Creative Commons - Wikipedia Copperplate portrait of Ignaz Semmelweis published by the Semmelweis-Emlék Végrehajtó Bizottság (Semmelweis Memorial Executive Committee) on occasion of the construction of his cenotaph in the Kerepesi Úti Cemetery (see right below). The artist was inspired by a 1860 photograph of Semmelweis made by Borsos & Doctor.
