Ambrotypes of fruit are rare, to put it mildly. This superb image has a scattering of dust-fleck imperfections in the emulsion. Perhaps a natural effect of the emulsion and ruby-glass backing, under some lighting the berry appears slightly reddish and its leaves slightly green.
