Note how each girl's free arm is not hanging by their side, but held stiffly at an angle against their skirts. On the verso of mount is written in a period hand; "Loulie A. and Laura A. Diehl / 15 yrs. Age". Studio mark of "McAdam's Gallery, Wenona, Ill".
