4 men and 1 woman teacher flank this large group of young students. This 1/4 plate horizontal ambrotype is not a technical masterpiece, but it is in its own way quite wonderful. The students, many of them wearing hats and caps, are individually quite appealing, particularly the endearing group in the front left.
