Fronti is listed in Boris Kossoy's Dicionßrio Histórico-Fotogrßfico Brasileiro: Fotógrafos e ofício da fotografia no Brasil (1833-1910), (2002). In 1860 Fronti announced to the public that he was prepared to take photographs using the ambrotype method and in 1861 participated in the National Exposition. Located at 20 Rua Direita during the 1860s, by 1863 he advertised the making of carte-de-visite photographs and by 1868 the production of tintypes.
