Number "941" in the negative. Mike Cowdrey has identified the photograph as from the 1873 Crow delegation, by Julius and Henry Ulke (Julius made the only photograph of the room in which Lincoln lay dying.) Iron Bull, head chief of the River Crows, was a great warrior. For his dangerous work carrying dispatches between Fort Smith and Fort Kearney in 1866-67 he was given a log building at Fort Smith, and when his wife moved in she was reputed to be the first Crow woman to "own a Whiteman's house."
