Stereoscopy Private collection of C. Schwimmer Probably French, date unknown - may be anywhere from 1860's to early 1900's. Unlike the examples cited, this one is more deluxe in some manners in that it has adjustable interocular spacing for the lenses, and it has a bottom drawer to catch any stereoviews that may fall out of their holders. It has very fine large round lenses and provides excellent viewing. Ornate brass handles for carrying/moving. Two hinged doors on top to load views. One has a mirror and there is a ground glass back.
