"This light blue mount is an example of one of the earliest known stereoscopic photographs by James Elliott thought to be 1855/1856. "The Picnic" was to become a popular subject for Elliott and there were a number of later variants - many using the large "Fortnum and Mason" picnic hamper and different woodland scenes.
