This portrait shows a high ranking official (Mandarin) in traditional court dress.The embroidered silk cloth on his chest (Mandarin Quarter) indicates he belonged to the third civil rank (most probably a minister). The dragon near the seam of his skirt and the style of his hat also show his high rank.
