Kitty Hoffmann studied at the Graphische Lehr- und Versuchsanstalt in Vienna where her teachers included Rudolf Koppitz. She then became an assistant in Trude Fleischmann's studio. After 1922 she opened her own studio in Vienna. Numerous images of her work were published in the fashion and illustrated press of the day. A portion of her estate is in the collection of the Photomuseum des Landes Oberösterreich, Bad Ischl.
