Photograph of a detail from the right side of Puerta de los Leones or Portal of the Lions, Toledo Cathedral. In the centre of the photograph are three carvings of Saints. Above and below the carvings are smaller carvings depicting Cherubim, some of whom blow trumpets as they accompany the Virgin's ascension. Figures of lions are located in front of the portal.
 
The Portal of the Lions was constructed during the 16th century and is the most modern of the portals of Toledo Cathedral.
