Amazing cross collectable photographic advertising cdv for J.H. Steiner, 77 Newark Ave., Hoboken, NJ and a comedy called Dreams; or, Fun in a Photographic Gallery. We see a caricature of photographer capturing a happy couple on their wedding day. A number of guests are watching the occasion and of course the bride's mother is fixing her dress at the last minute. The table and chair on the far left side hold a number of formal top hats, coats and an umbrella. A couple of children are waiting rather impatiently and the father on the right snuggles one of them while holding a cigar in his opposite hand. Steiner's advertising scheme on the front is a depiction of a play about an older farmer having a dream about his wedding day after he and his wife were reminiscing about their sixtieth wedding anniversary. The announcement for the performance of the show is on the back and reads, Academy of Music, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, February 12, 13, & 14, Matinee Saturday, Jacques Kruger in Dreams; or, Fun in a Photograph Gallery.
