On the accompanying frame backing, labels indicate that this photograph was acquired from the Julie Saul Gallery, New York by Reader's Digest in 1996 and the photograph was exhibited in "A Photographic Treasury: Images of Children by Master Photographers from the Reader's Digest Art Collection."
