This photographer‘s full name was Benjamin Gay Wilkinson. He never used Benjamin however and signed his prints as B. Gay Wilkinson. His autograph under each of the four photogravures reproduced in the 1894 Première Exposition d‘Art Photographique (Photo Club de Paris) reads in a cursive handwriting: BGayWilkinson. -- (connecting all the letters in his name) He was born in London in 1857 (Source: Sun Artists, Number 6, January, 1891 - reprint: Arno Press: 1973)
