Maker of scientific instruments and a Daguerreotypist. He operated from Toulouse, France from 1840 onwards and created an air pump that received a first-class medal at the Exposition of 1855. His full plate Daguerreotype of the "Place du Capitole, Toulouse" (Place du Capital) taken on the 27 February 1840 demonstrates an early familiarity with the process.
