Photographer active in Cinncinati, Ohio. In 1866 he used magnesium to make the first underground photographs in America at Mammoth Cave, Kentucky. These were published as a set of 42 stereocards by E. & H.T. Anthony of New York. He also photographed Proctor's Cave and those stereoviews are far rarer.
