Frechon worked in the Pas de Calais area of France and in Algeria, producing lyrical studies of French country life at the turn of the century and regularly appeared in the British Country Life. Almost a direct French counterpart of P.H. Emerson, but one who had to earn his living by his photography. He was active between 1890 and 1913.
