Took Daguerreotypes and salt prints in San Francisco from around 1854 until 1858. His "San Francisco Album", which exists in a number of variants each containing around 30 salt prints, is considered the first compilation of any American city. George Eastman House has a copy of the album that came from the Gabriel Cromer collection.
