Tableaux vivant style multiple exposures recreating paintings by the Polish-French artist, Balthus (1908-2001).
Born in Tokyo, 1964. Graduated from Musashino Art University of Art and Design, 1986. He moved to the US in 1993, became an exclusive videographer for Hillary Rodham Clinton, and participated as a director of photography in productions of numerous TV programs documentaries in New York. He returned to Japan in 2001. A Photographic Portrayal Paintings of Balthus is his first photographic series and has been presented internationally since it was first exhibited in Tokyo, 2009. He lives and works in Tokyo.
