Studied at the Bauhaus in Germany and in 1933 met Grete Stern whom he married in 1935 to whom he was married until their divorce in 1943. From the 1930s onwards he recorded the city of Buenos Aires in Argentina as it changed through the twentieth century. His legacy will remain his love affair with the city of Buenos Aires.
