Photograph of the Hussainabad Imambara, Lucknow. The building is in the Islamic architectural style with an onion dome. There is a long rectangular pond with a bridge in front of the building and formal gardens to either side. There is a small group of people to the left of the pond.

This is one of a series of photographs from a published volume documenting the tour the Prince of Wales, later King Edward VII, made of India in 1875-76. The Hussainabad Imambara, also known as Chota Imambara, is a mausoleum and one of the most recognisable buildings in the city.

Presented to Alexandra, Princess of Wales by her husband the Prince of Wales at Christmas 1876
