This is from her "Natura Morta" series. Whaley (1953- ) had a background in painting and theater design. Her works are carefully arranged in various themes, and show a painter's concern with nuances of color. Her photographs are in various collections including San Francisco MOMA, LA County Museum, Oakland Museum.
