Émile Gsell
1866
Cochine et Cambodge
[Cochine et Cambodge]

Albumen silver prints, from glass negatives
22.7 x 17.7 cm (8 15/16 x 6 15/16 in)

Metropolitan Museum of Art
Gilman Collection, Purchase, Alfred Stieglitz Society Gifts, 2005

In the attribution at the Metropolitan Museum of Art the photographer is given as M. Gsell (French, act. 1860s-70s) but it is presumably Emile Gsell who was active in Indo-China during this period. (Alan Griffiths, May 16, 2007)
