Photograph of Yarkandis with hunting hawks. There are six men gathered in a group, all wearing long patterned robes and turbans. The man standing at the centre of the group has a hawk sitting on his right arm and there is another hawk on the pillar beside him to the right. There is a building with two large arches behind, both filled with plant pots.

This is one of a series of photographs from a published volume documenting the tour the Prince of Wales, later King Edward VII, made of India in 1875-76. Included in the album are a group of photographs of local people.

Presented to Alexandra, Princess of Wales by her husband the Prince of Wales at Christmas 1876
