The aesthetic content of Ives's images did not always live up to the brilliance of his ever inventive mind, but this 1899 stereo Kromogram of the interior of a greenhouse is beautifully composed, with the rows of
terracotta pots and panes of glass in the background balancing the riot of floral exuberance in the
foreground. Viewed in 3D in an Ives' Kromskop viewer, the image would be breathtaking.
