44 photo-collage albumen and gelatin silver portraits, cartes-de visite and cabinet size. Inserted in photo album boards bound in cloth album (faded, some traces of use) circa 1900, with brass ornament on front cover and gilt-edged boards, with built-in wind-up music box in back cover.
 
A rare and curious object, this "family album" contains 44 cartes-de-visite and cabinet photo collages inspired by Dada and Surrealism. When one opens the album, the music box, which has to be wound at the back with the attached key, plays a nostalgic tune. - The photo collages in very good condition.
