A portfolio with 10 (of 10) photographs. With an essay by Frederick Sommer and statement by Henry Holmes Smith. Silver prints, the images measuring approximately 12x9 inches (30.5x22.9 cm.), and the reverse, the mounts 20x16 inches (50.8x40.6 cm.), each with Holmes' signature, title, and negative date, in pencil, on mount recto. Folio-sized cloth folder with a brown and black printed slipcase; the colophon is a paper folder with Holmes' signature and the edition notation 82/100 (83?), in pencil; contents loose as issued. Louisville, Kentucky: Center for Photographic Studies, 1949-72; printed 1973.
