Salt prints
Bassenge Photography Auctions
1 June 2016, Photographs, Lot 4008

The portrayed participants of this artists' ball in Munich are Füssli, Thomberg, Dr. v. Wenzel, Liersen and C. Freiherr v. Seckendorf. The society was named after the Munich artists' club Stubenvoll, where it was founded in 1844. In this same year Friedrich Wilhelm Schoen painted a 50 figure portrait of the group which is now in the collection of the Münchner Stadtmuseum.
