Italian photographer with studios in Genova. In 1862 he embarked on a six year project to photograph those who fought with Garibaldi during the Expedition of the Thousand "Spedizione dei Mille" (1860). This resulted in the "Album dei Mille" which was not a financial success. The copy of the album he donated to Garibaldi is preserved at the Museo del Risorgimento in Rome.
