Born: 1889 - Indonesia, East Java, Kediri
Died: 1964 - The Netherlands, Baarn
Gender: Female
Active: Indonesia
 
Gaining experience by working with her elder sister Else who had a photographic studio in The Hague she went to work in the large studio of O. Kurkdjian & Co. in Surabaya in 1917. In 1920 she set up her own "Studio Lux" in Garoet [Garut], Sociëteitsstraat 15 above Mr D. G. Mulder's "NV Garutsche Apotheek en Handelsonderneming" (a pharmacy and trade association), which ran until 1940.
